GMA Network is set to redefine primetime action with the highly anticipated action-drama series “The Master Cutter,” marking the grand return of award-winning actor Dingdong Dantes to a leading primetime role.
Beginning May 11, Dingdong steps into a gripping and complex role that showcases his remarkable range as an actor, honed over almost three decades in the industry.
“The Master Cutter” follows the story of Anthony “Atoy” Padua (Dingdong), a highly skilled Scout Ranger who decided to have a quiet life as a tailor while secretly working as a man-hunter and tracker-for-hire. Behind the closed doors of his tailoring shop, Atoy becomes the go-to person for people seeking justice, hunting down criminals, or even recovering stolen prized game cocks.
Haunted by the tragic passing of his girlfriend, Elaine (Max Collins), Atoy attempts to rebuild his life and rekindle his relationship with his father by taking over the family business. But just as he begins to find his footing, he encounters a case that could change his life forever.
Blending family-centered, lighthearted drama with pulse-pounding action, The Master Cutter will prove that every cut tells a story–every week brings a new experience worth watching.
The series brings together a formidable cast, including Shuvee Etrata as Tonet, Sienna Stevens as Ibyang, Jo Berry as Ame, and Paolo Contis as Red.
Joining them are Tonton Gutierrez as Dmitri, Joey Marquez as Delfin, Polo Ravales as Paldo, Ketchup Eusebio as Emerson, Max Eigenmann as Martina, and Rio Locsin as Cita.
Also featured in the series are Sparkle stars Charlie Fleming, Prince Carlos, and Anthony Constantin.
The series is produced by the GMA Entertainment Group, headed by Officer-In-Charge and Vice President for Drama Cheryl Ching-Sy, Assistant Vice President for Drama Ali Nokom-Dedicatoria, Program Manager Dennis Bentulan, and Executive Producer Nieva Magpayo.
